Microsoft is rumored to release the Surface Pro 4 in October 2015. It said to come out with 12-inch and 14-inch models, powered by Intel Core M and Skylake, and a Windows 10 OS. Samsung, on the other hand, is rumored to release the Galaxy Note 5. The device is said to come out in either 5.9-inch or 5.7-inch in size, could be powered by Exynos 7420, and curved edges. Recent rumors pointed to an October release of the Surface Pro 4 this year; however, Microsoft has yet to announce it. There are other reports that cited a certain TechAndPrince claiming that the release would be on July 2015. TechandPrince reportedly said, "The reason why this hasn't been announced yet is because Microsoft wants to make this announcement a big deal and they are waiting for the perfect event so that they could announce it there."
Further, the Microsoft device will reportedly include a camera of 5 MP at the front and the rear with support for full HD resolution, a built-in slot for a ready-to-use stylus, a 16 GB of RAM, LTE-ready, with Xbox game streaming support, and a battery that could last up to 10 hours.
Meanwhile, recent rumors about the Galaxy Note 5 stated that the Samsung device would come out with curved edges, capabilities of a retina and fingerprint scanner, dust- and water-resistant, heart rate monitor, 4000 mAh battery, 4 GB of RAM, 18 MP rear camera with optical image stabilization, 7 MP front camera, improvements on the S-Pen stylus, and a release date of as early as August.
Nevertheless, official statements are yet to be confirmed from both companies.
