Nowadays, 'Modern Family' star Sofia Vergara is an image of woman head over heels in love with her fiancé Joe Manganiello. However, in an exclusive interview with 42-year-old actress she revealed that she almost reject the 'Magic Mike' actor because of his overwhelming good looks.
In her interview with Vanity Fair, Reese Witherspoon's 'Hot Pursuit' co-star shared how she ended up with Joe. The Columbian beauty said that he started to pursue her after breaking up with her ex beau Nick Loeb. The 'True Blood' actor begged Jesse Tyler Ferguson [Modern Family's Mitchell Pritchett] to give Vergara's number to which she initially refused.
"And I'm like, Jesse, no, he's too handsome," Vergara shared with VF. "Then, after two days of Jesse trying to convince me, I'm like, O.K., give him my number. I'm thinking, I'm in New Orleans shooting, and he's in L.A. Nothing's going to happen. But we started talking a lot, and then he showed up in New Orleans. Since then we've been inseparable."
Vergara confessed that she doesn't want to change anything about Manganiello except their 4-year age gap. The two stars got engaged on Christmas Day in Hawaii after few months of dating and reportedly will wed this year. The hot mama was also asked about delivering baby Manganiello, which she hesitated at first.
"My son, Manolo, is 23 years old, which is going to be really weird if I have another baby," Sofia said on VF. "But, you know, Joe wants babies and if it's going to make him super-happy, then ..." Meanwhile, Vanity Fair also inquired about her fashion and Modern Family character that may give her edge or disadvantage Sofia then addressed her bashers and said she doesn't care about their judgment.
"If Gloria is a stereotype, so what? Who wouldn't want to be Gloria," the actress, who will be Vanity Fair May 2015 issue cover girl, said.
"I hired the speech coach, and you have to work so much. It's exhausting. It's also boring. And I have a bad ear, you know? I've been in this country for 20-something years and I still sound like this . . . So I was going to auditions and the only thing I could focus on was the position of the tongue. I was not acting. And then I thought, If I can't get a job with my accent, this is not a job for me."
