Following the first two episodes of Halo 5: Guardians, 343 Industries is again ready to release another episode into the series. Not only did they announce the release date of episode 3 which will has the title, "Hunt the Truth", they also showed glimpses of what the possible synopsis of the game will be. Though, they did not elaborate it all too well leaving gamers cringing to get their hands on the game.
The release date of Halo 5: Guardians is officially confirmed on October 27, 2015 and will be exclusive to the Xbox One. However, Frank O'Connor, the game's Development Director, as early as now, tweeted as to what gamers should expect.
According to O'Connor, the next episode will be going into a dark place. There is no saying whether he means it literally or figuratively but with the current teasers and ads, it shows that it might be both.
Halo 5: Guardians is a game that mainly revolves around the adventures of two characters: Master Chief and Spartan Lock. Moreover, it is a story of cat-and-mouse between the two that eventually unravels the history of each. In episode three, Master Chief will have his dark tale narrated including plot twists that may change how every gamer will perceive the entire Halo franchise.
In the most recent trailers, one showed Locke pointing a gun on Master Chief while another showed the roles being reversed. It is also said that the location of the next episode will be in a dark planet or cave of some sort.
Moreover, from the words of 343 Industries, this is going to be the darkest episode in the entire franchise, which is also bound to be one of the best.
With a few more months before the Halo 5: Guardians release date exclusive to Xbox ONe, a lot of fragments of the story are still yet to be unraveled in the series of trailers the game is going to have. As of the moment, there is not much information to build around leaving followers of the episode speculating.
