The long wait is over as the Grand Theft Auto V PC version is finally coming. The vital improvements in the graphics are done, the developer, Rockstar is putting in some new add-ons into the game, including a host of new additions, tons of visual options and developments to the editor mode.

The Rockstar North team answered why there was such a huge focus on getting the game work at 4k resolutions, why the PC format always lags behind other versions, they also answered the issues in modding etc. Answering these queries are John Macpherson (director of engineering), Phil Hocker (technical director), Phil Hooker (director of technology), Alex Hadjadj (technical director for graphics) and Adam Fowler (technical director).

The focus is to make the game work well on wide array of hardware in order to provide great game experience to people. They have spent a lot of time developing different elements of the game to make it scalable to the fans. There are more than 25 parameters gamers can tweak that can optimize performance and graphics. The game will instantly optimized with the settings. The players have more control in this version because the control is independent from the keyboard and mouse controls.

It all boils down to bandwidth, gamers want each version of the game to be the best it can be, and it looks like having the members of the GTA V original team closely working with the best PC developers from all over Rockstar studios, like the staff who did a good job on the Max Payne 3 PC versions, GTA IV and L.A. Noire. Importantly, a great part of the team that toiled on GTA V for PS3 and Xbox 360 also run on the PS4 and Xbox One platforms and all of the GTA Online features, including Heists.
