Game of Thrones Season 5 Spoilers: Series timeline revealed as first four episodes leaks online; Torrent links gets ahead of release

Winter came a little too early this year. HBO's Game of Thrones is only set to give us the run down of the happenings in Westeros, the Wall, and beyond the Narrow Sea within 10 episodes like previous seasons of the series. Now, almost half of the series is circulating through the torrent grapevine.

Game of Thrones Season 5 Episode 1 was set to premiere on April 12, 2015, and like the epic story that surrounds the seven kingdoms, the Wall and the East, the first four episodes have been leaked the night before the first episode was set to air. Yes, you got that right. Four episodes have been leaked online and have been making rounds through the internet community.

George R. R. Martin's epic story of kings, queens, armies and dragons was first released to us mere mortals back in 1996's A Game of Thrones, the first book in the series called A Song of Ice and Fire. And while most avid fans are well aware of what's happening in the epic high fantasy novel, the leak does dampen the excitement for the premiere of the novel's visually stunning and equally engaging TV counterpart.

For the most part, fans of the show are keeping to their loyalties with watching the episode air instead of going on torrent sites and downloading all four leaked episodes to satisfy that 6-months-long torture that is reliving Season 4 episode reruns. After all, time apart does make the heart grow fonder. The timing is impeccable, however. The four episode leak means that HBO will be straggling behind pirates for a whole month. And while we mere mortals appreciate the gesture of bringing the epic saga to the public, it leaves a bad taste in the mouth for those that are actually waiting for the episode to air instead of binge-watching the series in one sitting. HBO has yet to comment on the subject.

While fans of the show are torn between base urges of torrenting the show and joining the excitement of the weekly bandwagon, the first episode has already aired, and has everybody heaving in great anticipation for the things yet to come for Season 5.

This season looks to be following the timeline of the fourth and fifth novels of the series, A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons. The novels were really one very long volume split in two. A Feast for Crows focuses on the events in Westeros and the Wall, while A Dance with Dragons takes us further east beyond the narrow sea. Season 5's premiere episode entitled The Wars to Come sets in motion the chronological events of the two separate books, instead of focusing on one book for one season.

Alot of fans have mixed feelings with the sudden leak of the first four episodes, and while many are already aware of the plot and the timeline, the premiere episode at least relieves the tension that is waiting in between seasons for the widely popular epic series. The Game of Thrones epic has resumed its course in ten gloriously graphic episodes of schemes, lies and deception.
