Android 5.0.2 and Android 5.0 Lollipop updates continue to hit more devices, including LG tablets like G Pad 10.1, 8.0 and 7.0. Samsung's flagship and powerhouse handset Galaxy S6 Edge and HTC's Desire EYE also received the update since last April 12.
LG G Pad 10.1
LG's tablet devices started receiving Android 5.0 Lollipop update since last Saturday. G Pad 10.1, 8.0 And 7.0 owners can avail the download via over-the-air (OTA) update. Users will also have the option to download the update via LG's website.
Google will send notification to each device via mobile networks. To automatically download Android 5.0 Lollipop, just tap the notification message and follow onscreen instructions. Is not yet notified, uses can head over Menu > Settings > About phone > Check for update. Make sure the device is charged up at least 40 percent and is connected to a Wi-Fi network.
G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition is the only LG tablet tor receive the Android 5.1 Lollipop update, while Android 5.0.1 and 5.0.2 have already been made available to other LG devices. Android 5.0 Lollipop will give LG G Pad 10.1, 8.0 and 7.0 a new user interface design and more fluid animations, change in notification panel, transparent background. The update will also bring improvements on battery life.
HTC Desire EYE
The killer selfie phone is getting the android 5.0.2 Lollipop update. HTC Desire EYE owners in Taiwan have a first taste of the software update, which will show a new build 2.19.709.1. The update is 1008.9MB. However, Android 5.0.2 does not bring the latest Sense 7 user interface version and remains in Sense 6.55. According to tipster, HTC Sense 7.0 will be packed in Android 5.1 Lollipop which will come to HTC phones soon.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge
Samsung has been in the frontline to give the latest Android updates for its devices. The South Korean's newly unveiled Galaxy S6 Edge is the latest to receive the Android 5.0.2 software update. The download will take 250.53MB.
Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update will bring a good number of system enhancements to the phone, including a more active and responsive touchscreen capacity. Some tweaks will also hit the device with built-in apps, plus the Photo Editor will have a new image editing feature. Meanwhile, some accessories have been made compatible to S6 Edge.
