Iggy Azalea Admits She Likes Being ‘A Little Scrappy’

Iggy Azalea is currently gracing the cover of Marie Claire as one of the five fresh faces for the magazine's May 2015 issue. Azalea admits she likes being "a little scrappy" and hopes that women find her body "relatable."

"I'm a little scrappy for sure, but I like that about myself," the "Fancy" singer revealed to Marie Claire.

Azalea is one of the five fresh faces of Marie Claire's May 2015 issue alongside other stars like Kate Upton, Zoe Kravitz, "Pitch Perfect 2" star Hailee Steinfeld, and Felicity Jones. In the interview, Azalea admitted that people try to tell her to try to look better in front of the cameras. She dismisses the notion and admits that trying to look ridiculous can also make a statement.

She also revealed that while she has received body shaming tweets and criticisms on social media, she hopes that women find her body as something that they can relate to. The 24-year-old singer received criticisms after posting a photo of her wearing a bikini, which showed what seemed to be a slightly un-toned butt. On Feb. 18, Azalea responded to these criticisms and wrote: "Just got back from a great vacation, came online and saw apparently it's shocking and unheard of to be a woman and have cellulite. Lol."

The "Black Widow" singer has followed her message with a series of tweets letting her fans know that she will be taking her time off from social media. Azalea left her fans with one last note: "The Internet is the ugliest reflection of man kind there is."

Meanwhile, Azalea recently shot some scenes for her music video collaboration with Britney Spears for their song, "Pretty Girls" on Thursday, April 7 in California, IB Times reported. Spears shared a photo of her driving the jeep while sporting triangular earrings and leopard top on Twitter, which seemed to take on the look from the 80s.

"Pretty Girls" will be released on the first week of May.
