Definitely not a secret, LG G4 - LG's next-in-line flagship smartphone - is set to launch this April 28. Recently however, in a suspicious leak that pundits claim may not be accidental, a marketing department microsite revealed technical details of the much-ballyhooed product. To boot, not only will the G4 shine in leather, it boasts of an array of stunning features: 13MP camera, a 1440 x 2560 pixel Quad HD screen, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor in 5.3inch architecture - among others.

With the enormous size of the leak there may be nothing left for LG to surprise us with, come launch time.

A Tri-City Affair

Of course, the release date is no surprise as embossed leather-style digital invitations were sent several months ago - with invitations carrying the LG G4 logo appearing late March.

But the word is out. LG G4 official release on the 28th of April is a simultaneous event in 3 cities namely: London, New York and Tokyo as pointed out by PC Pro.

However, as to when the LG smartphone will be available in your nearest retail outlet or online is more of an unknown at this point in time, judging from LG G3's track record.

However, what caught everyone's attention is that the high-end phone's specs and features were leaked after the Korean Chaebol's marketing team "accidentally" made public a "product site", as reported on 9to5Google.

Taking note of the timing and other circumstances, the Google-focused tech site claims the leak could be part of an intentional publicity stunt to gain needed momentum - and not accidental.

Making Headway

LG is apparently gearing up its high-end smartphone - fresh from a rather successful LG G3 Android 5.0 update.

To boot, the LG microsite showed nine distinct LG G4 designs - three in plastic and six in leather. What is astonishing is you could actually swap back covers as you deem fit.

Veering away from Samsung Galaxy S6, G4 once again supports removable battery via its 3,000 lithium-ion bank and extra added storage via micro-SD slot.

Also, the G4 will carry a rear shooter with f/1.8 aperture lens, ideal for stunning low-light photos, with a stunning 13MP resolution.

The front-facing camera boasts of a 5MP resolution.

Added to that, the April 13 leaks confirm that the LG G4 will sizzle with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 32GB or 64GB storage, 4GB RAM, 3,000mAh removable battery and a microSD slot.

Taking quality display further, the G4 will carry a 1,440 x 2,560 resolution, Quad HD (QHD) LCD display within a 5.5in architecture - a feature that according to the Korean tech will give "richer and more accurate colours with a 120% colour gamut, exceeding the 100% gamut offered on conventional panels".

With a pixel density of 538 dpi the LG smartphone stands out in "50% higher than conventional QHD LCD panels" adding a 30% brighter display "without any increase in power consumption" - a stunning feature dubbed as IPS Quantum.

But that's not all the display has in store. With its "Advanced In-Cell Touch" feature, the screen is so sensitive to touch it would still respond to command even with water droplets on it.

Now, it seems all these extraordinary smartphone features only makes the upcoming LG G4 simply irresistible.
