‘Winds of Winter’ Release Update: George R.R. Martin teases fans with excerpt; Game of Thrones spoilers for the book

Winds of Winter might be out on the shelves next year. Yes, the most realistic date would be sometime in 2016. There were reports that the book will be finished by 2015. But with all the editing and finishing touches, that can be hard to accomplish. George R.R. Martin has cancelled some of his events to finish the book. But that doesn't guarantee that we can see or read the book any time soon. Our advise - Don't pressure the author. You wouldn't want to have a half-baked book, would you?

Meanwhile, we have recently reported that George R.R. Martin teased his fans as he released an excerpt from his book. This was published in the author's website. We are pretty much sure that his avid followers became hungry for more. Few more months and they could already drown themselves in such great plot and beautifully crafted war stories.

If you want to know how the book will end, then you better watch Game of Thrones on HBO. One report states that it is highly unlikely for George R.R. Martin to finish the book before the show ends. But just like what they have shared to us before, the show's creators and the author himself have already discussed how the book will end. That means, it will have the same finale. It will just differ in some of the twists, but the characters who will be eliminated will be pretty much the same.

What's another 5 or 10 months of waiting for Winds of Winter? George R.R. Martin is a self-confessed slow writer and apparently he needs time to focus on his craft. For us, we just need to wait patiently and let's just satisfy our cravings from his excerpts and get some clues from Game of Thrones. We will surely keep you posted on the latest about the book.
