The iPod Touch 6th Generation remains one of the most highly anticipated and favored device of 2015, but is the iPod Touch really gone for good? It's been two years since Apple launched the latest version of the music device and the despite that longevity, the demand is just as high as before.
The fifth generation device was released way back in September 2012, with a 4-inch Retina display found in the iPhone 5, a 5MP camera, an enhanced dual core A5 chip, and a looped wrist strap. Although the iPod Touch 5 produced excellent upgrades, sales haven't been as high due to the availability of smartphones, which offers practically everything the iTouch offers.
Due to that, news about the upcoming iPod Touch 6th Generation have been very little and as of recent months, there is still no clear announcement as to when the device might make its next upgrade. Although according to Christian Post, there are rumors that the gadget could be released later this year, specifically on September-the month when Apple traditionally launches its latest innovations.
If the rumors are true, then it's bound that the iPod Touch 6th Generation will launch alongside the iPhone 7, the latest installment Apple's smartphone that could bring DSLR-level photos, and of course iOS 9. iTechWhiz states that the iPod Touch 6 could have a 5.5-inch display with a stunning resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels with pixel density count of 440ppi. It will also reportedly have an 8-megapixel iSight camera and a 1.5MP front facing camera and is expected to come in silver, blue, space grey, yellow, pink, orange, red, and green.
When it comes to price, the iPod Touch 6th Generation might cost just as much as an iPod Touch 5G costs today, $299 for a 32GB model while the 64GB version will retail at $399. Once released, the iPod Touch 5 will expect a price decrease.
