'Mass Effect 4' will welcome back writer from franchise's most recent installment

A former writer for the "Mass Effect" franchise seems to be returning to his old stomping grounds ahead of the planned release for the fourth game for the franchise.

News of John Dombrow coming back to write for "Mass Effect 4" first came out when a subreddit for the game spotted the writer's LinkedIn account indicating that he is now listed as a "Senior Writer" for BioWare. Dombrow had a hand in writing a few of the missions in "Mass Effect 3" and he is also famously responsible for crafting the dialogue for one of the game's most beloved characters in Garrus, according to iDigital Times.

He also wrote for a few of the other characters in the game, and even lent his writing prowess to the "Mass Effect" comic books from Dark Horse. Dombrow is a veteran of the game-writing scene, with his work seen in other well-known titles such as "BioShock: Infinite" and the video game adaptation of the hit television show "Game of Thrones."

The people behind "Mass Effect 4" have been reluctant to share any specific details about the game thus far, but some news have been trickling out. One of the latest updates regarding the game involves "Mass Effect 4" running on the Frostbite engine. According to the Senior Development Director for the game, Chris Wynn, "Mass Effect 4" apparently runs very smoothly on the engine, but no other related details were released, according to PSX Extreme.

Fans have been craving any semblance of official news regarding the game, and if the rumors are to be believed, they may receive just that during E3 2015, according to Franchise Herald. Rumors have also pegged the game to be released some time before April of next year, but the claims were made by industry insiders and not people from BioWare.

As of now, fans will have to settle for any news they may receive straight from the company, and they can also stay glued to E3 2015, which will be held from the 16th to the 18th of June.
