Bethesda Softworks have much to give to their dedicated players this year. Starting April 16 until April 20, beta players of Elder Scrolls Online will have an opportunity to download and play the game for free. All major game updates will be available, and the whole of Elder Scrolls: Tamriel Unlimited will be free to play.
This year has been a year of big announcements for Bethesda Softworks' award winning multiplayer roleplaying game. The Elder Scrolls Online started strong this January with their announcement of having the game available for Playstation4 and Xbox One come June of this year. The game has since been made available for PC/Mac users since March of this year.
Bethesda Softworks has also made the game a one-time purchase instead of having a game subscription. The former game subscription will now be converted to a premium membership where players can purchase monthly allotment crowns and optional in-game downloadable content.
The latest patch for the game has been significantly praised to having a more memorable experience rather than a generic multiplayer online roleplaying game. Aside from your usual bug fixes and minor changes, players can now pilfer, pickpocket, steal provisions and supplies, and ultimately piss off guards put bounties on your head and want it served on a platter.
Gameplay changes to Tamriel Unlimited are remarkable, but player experiences are given higher value. The Welcome Back Weekend will give beta players a chance to experience the changes in the game. The move to have the game available to beta players for download means that they are able to open the game to more players who are wanting to try out the Elder Scrolls experience, but have perhaps never had the opportunity.
The Elder Scrolls Online will open its "Welcome Back Weekend" for their beta players on April 16 at 15:00 BST and it will be available April 20 at 15:00 BST.
