By

Sony recently announced the estimated release date for "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" which will be set next year. It's a wonder whether a "remastered version" of the trilogy will take place while waiting for the upcoming "Uncharted 4" debut. Although speculations of a "remastered trilogy" emerged, one of which is a listing posted by a Swiss retailer website CeDe provided a release date of September 30 this year.

According to the International Business Times, the listing of a remastered trilogy posted by Swiss retailer website CeDe is "illegitimate" considering that the listing was subsequently taken down. It was reported that the box art shown in the listing poses a lot of "red flags", one of which is an out-of-date logo for the PlayStation network as well as fan-made box art.

Even though Sony's head Shuhei Yoshida mentioned that a remastered "Uncharted" series is a good option however Sony had no intentions of flooding the market with remasters series. As of the moment, "Uncharted 4" Game Director, Neil Druckmann stated that the entire team is focusing on developing the "Uncharted 4" series, "A Thief's End", The International Business Tims reported.

Moreover, some say that a remastered trilogy is a good choice for gamers who have been patiently waiting for the release of "Uncharted 4". A source mentioned that it will be a good diversion and the best way to let gamers refresh their minds with the previous games, making them updated and ready for the most awaited upcoming game next year.

Meanwhile, the directors of "Uncharted 4" admit that they have been working so hard and explained why they had to delay its release. Express reported that the game directors said it was necessary to postpone the new title to provide gamers an experience which they have been expecting. In a statement, the Naughty Dog directors explained, "Since we showed you our first gameplay reveal for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, more of the game and story have come together, and it's become clear to us that this game is much more ambitious than we originally envisioned."

The source also mentioned that Nathan Drake never takes his tasks lightly thus this game deserves every bit of the attention to detail, precise pacing that Naughty Dog is known for.

Furthermore, no official statements have been released whether a "remastered trilogy" will happen this year so it's safe to say that all were just speculations. What is certain is that "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" is in the works and will debut in 2016.
