Olivia's father Rowan Pope shows up without prior notice at the end of episode 18 of 'Scandal' Season 4. Olivia was shocked to see him standing at her door with her new love interest Franklin Russell. This sparks speculation that Frank already met Papa Pope before and that he was hired by Rowan to flirt and spy on Liv to gather more information.
According to the latest 'Scandal' Season 4 spoilers, Rowan can be a big threat to Olivia's team trying to take down B613. The newest promo indicates that he will target Fitz to stop Olivia, David and Jake. In the preview video posted on YouTube, Rowan said to Olivia, "your hatred for me so great that you're willing to tear him down, too."

Meanwhile, Tony Goldwin who plays the role of President Fitz hopes to be connected with his love Olivia soon. In an interview with EXTRA, Goldwin answered some hottest questions regarding Olivia and Fitz's relationship and their possible reunion in 'Scandal' Season 4.
"They're almost kinda like reconnecting but not quite so I don't know when that's gonna happen but I hope that it happens soon," said Goldwin.
But as to the question about Papa Pope's comeback could be the end of their relationship, he answered that he can't tell it but he instead said that, "What we're really following is this evolving a relationship between Fitz and Mellie in support of her campaign to the senate leading to hopefully a presidential run."
