Nintendo announced a new "Mario Kart 8 DLC add-on Pack" for Wii U platforms which has an inclusion of eight different tracks, three new characters and four additional vehicles.

Set for an April 3 release, gamers can purchase the pack for $7.99, Gematsu reported. The site introduces "Village", "Isabelle", and "Dry Bowser" to be the additional characters which goes with the DLC Pack 2. Aside from new characters, there will be additional vehicles as well such as "Streetle", "City Tripper", "P-Wing", and "Browser Trike".

But the best part of the Pack is the additional eight tracks, some are returning favorites and some are entirely new courses. According to a source, Retro tracks include "Baby Park", "Koopa City", "Ribbon Road", and "Cheese Land". While new areas include "Wild Woods", "Super Bell", "Big Blue", and "Animal Crossing", the site added.

In addition, gamers should expect something new and fun with the new track called "Animal Crossing" because it is by far the only race track that can change seasons, from spring to summer, to autumn, then winter. And gamers will experience these changes whenever they race, IGN announced.

Moreover, "Big Blue" was described as a remastered version from the F-Zero series where racers have to avoid incoming trains as they drift underground in "Super Bell Subway". While in "Wild Woods", racers will be driving up and down a giant tree inhabited by Toads and Shy Guys. The rest of the courses are considered to be HD remakes from previous Mario Kart games.

Meanwhile, the site also announced that there will be a free update that allows every gamer who owns the game to play the new 200cc racing class. This is by the way the first of the series and not only that, the update can unlock Mii racing suits for additional "Amiibo" characters such as "Wario", "Pac-Man", "Olimar", "Bowser", "Sonic", "Toad", "Villager", "Rosalina" and "Mega Man".

Furthermore, Mario Kart 8 gamers have something to look forward to this coming April 23. Just for $7.99, gamers can now enjoy the all-new Mario Kart 8 DLC Pack 2.
