EA Dice is up and ready for the big debut day of Star Wars: Battlefront at the annual Star Wars Convention from April 16-19, 2015. The highly anticipated Star Wars title is one of the main events in the said convention, aside from updates about the upcoming Star Wars movie later this year. Much hype has been created by a number of marketing moves made by EA to tease fans and up the level of their excitement.
The extreme secrecy during game development successfully hid important game details that could spoil the anticipation. Reveals such as posters and images where enough to intensify fans' anxiousness over the game.
EA Dice gave Star Wars fans teasers such as a piece-meal image reveal of a revamped Storm trooper, which is expected to be the same seen in the game. However, latest leaks coming from the Star Wars Convention gives the first glimpse of what the game will be.
As shown on the Star Wars: Battlefront banner posted on vg247 , a silhouette of a person is in the midst of a battle involving X-fighters, AT-AT and AT-STs and looming in the distance, a star destroyer. Speculations on the scope of gameplay quickly spurs, especially if one is to expect everything on the banner is part of the game. If so, this means that Battlefront will have a somewhat Battlefield experience where vehicles, fighters and even large, walking land transports are available.
On the first Star Wars: Battlefront trailer sneak peak, it showed what clearly is a vehicle that can be accessed and driven, which means that there isn't any reason why EA DICE won't add a few vehicles to drive or fly. This points to another possible gameplay addition to the Star Wars: Battlefront franchise, which was at first a shooter.
In another note, Star Wars: Battlefront has another teaser within a Star Wars: The Force Awakens Trailer. As posted and pointed out at IGN, a brief, game footage is seen at the end of the trailer.
Though what the game offers is still shrouded in secrecy, It can be a welcome change for fans of the series, especially having the chance to fly an X-Wing and have land battles that go straight to space and get a kill streak to become a "hero." Though EA DICE is silent on almost every detail of the game, many questions will be answered when Star Wars: Battlefront gets its debut on the convention on April 17, 2015, 10:30am at the Star Wars Convention Anaheim.
