Despite some well-known members of the modding community claiming that "Grand Theft Auto V" for the PC was one of the hardest games to crack in this respect, it appears as though it certainly hasn't stopped them from still doing what they do.
One modder, going by the name "GooD-NTS," has revealed that he has now discovered a way to gain entry into the "Grand Theft Auto" file archives. It's a remarkable achievement, particularly because it now opens up the game to a ton of different modding possibilities.
"GooD-NTS" is not just another run of the mill modder, as he has also made his bones working on modifying the previous mothership title from the franchise, "Grand Theft Auto IV," according to Venture Beat.
He has managed to pull all of this off as the lead developer of the Open IV modding tool. The result of his work will now enable players to alter things such as character models, in-game physics, and even how some of the NPCs in the game will interact with the gamers. The graphics can also be changed now because of the modding possibilities.
As of now, an updated version of the Open IV tool is expected to come out for "Grand Theft Auto V." Interestingly, it looks as though "GooD-NTS" is not the only modder to contribute something to "Grand Theft Auto V."
Another modder, this one going by the name "DrDaxxy," has created a new mode for the game which affects the FOV. The new field of view mod will enable players to now see the world of "Grand Theft Auto V" in a different way, according to Twinfinite.
"DrDaxxy" does caution gamers who may be looking to use his mod, by saying that since it does affect the game's memory, the system may also recognize it as a cheat. If the mod is recognized as a cheat, then that could make the game very difficult to play going forward, according INC Gamers.
