For more than a decade, we have seen amazing episodes from CSI. However, you have to admit that with the birth of other crime TV series, CSI fell behind, most especially their last few seasons. A couple of months ago, they have finished their 15th season. The fans are already asking if they are going to be renewed, or are we finally going to say goodbye to our favorite characters.
According to our report, one of the show's leading characters left the show. Of course we understand that such things happen to long running shows. But we have to be realistic, it's hard to pick up a nice story if one of the pillars went missing. This fact has actually made the theory that CSI will no longer have a season 16 even more believable.
If you can remember, CSI season 15 was moved to another timeslot. That's also another factor why there was a decline in their ratings. Do you think it will do better if they maintained the old timeslot? Or perhaps, you can blame the viewership behavior. With the emergence of online streaming, busy fans would opt to watch their favorite shows on their most convenient time rather than making themselves free on the original timeslot.
One of the last hopes was the show's finale episode. Sad to say, it didn't do well either. The timing was just off and the ratings are not impressive once again.
Of course, we can't have a final say if CSI will be cancelled or renewed. It's really up to the network if they believe that the show will give them business. But by the looks of it, I say - don't hope for so much. There is a huge chance that the show will say farewell. At least we will be able to see it from HULU.
