Announcements on Red Dead Redemption 2 as of this date are still not available from Rockstar. However, the Grand Theft Auto series creator has received so much success from when this game launched in 2010 that gamers are becoming eager for its next step.
Red Dead Redemption has a very American 'cowboy' setting timed in the early 1900s, which gives it a unique feel to a lot of players. The game features former outlaw John Marston when police agents threatened his family, causing him to seek justice with the law.
Apart from shooting action, the game offers climactic train robberies, duels and bounty hunting placed in an era of brutality. The player aims to guide John Marston in his quest for survival by doing what is necessary to keep his dark past in the shadows.
Red Dead Redemption is playable in PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Another interesting feature that RDR2 2 could enhance would be picking up from the diverse multiplayer system from Red Dead Redemption.
Gamers get to multiply the excitement of the game by engaging in team-based or free-for-all setups. In addition, the Free Roam mode welcomes up to 16 players, working together, or against one another, in shootouts, challenges, and many more.
Rockstar has definitely set the bar high for all their supporters with the fame this game has built. But will they really push through making Red Dead Redemption 2 or perhaps Grand Theft Auto 6, considering that GTA 5 has made a mark for games on PC this 2015?
Michael Pachter from Wedbush Securities entertains the idea that a new Rockstar IP will be in the making rather than a sequel from its previous games. This is through the premise that the developer focuses on player experience as opposed to simply earning.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is still a far cry from happening. Gamers should keep posted on more updates, or even wait for announcements in the upcoming E3.
