It looks like former Disney talent Nick Jonas, who used to be a member of his band of brothers The Jonas Brothers, has successfully shed his tween image and is on a rising trajectory to success. Not since Justin Timberlake has a determined & talented boy band member-turned solo artist who can write songs & perform as well resonated quite well with music fans.
There has been much talk lately about singers bolting from their bandmates and enjoying newfound independence. In the case of Nick Jonas, creating his own identity as a solo artist was bound to happen. It just occurred sooner rather than later. When he and his brothers Kevin and Jo split up professionally, Nick said he started to see how he could do more musical experimentation. While he has not discounted the fact the band may regroup, at the moment it's pretty clear Nick Jonas is making the most of being his own creative person.
Though he's trying his hand in diverse projects, insiders have noted that Nick Jonas has a clear vision of what he wants.
The other piece of news that the 22-year-old pop and R&B sensation has yet to confirm is whether or not he's actually joining a new boy band. At the rate that the chart-topping composer-singer is handling multiple commitments nowadays, joining a new band just may not be happening yet. Nick Jonas did play beautiful music with the band "Nick Jonas & The Administration and the 2010 album "Who I Am" resulted from that.
Nick's single, "Jealous" is part of his solo album. This mid-April, the song climbed up the Billboard chart, while another song, "Chains" has soared on the Hot 100. Nick Jonas will perform along with other artists with breakthrough singles.
Apart from his singing engagements and appearances in tv shows, including "The Voice," Nick Jonas will be seen on the big screen via the movie, "Careful What You Wish For" with Dermot Mulroney.
An image makeover, a relationship with a celebrity in her own right, singing engagements, tv and film projects. Indeed, there's no stopping the rising star of Nick Jonas, who has planned purposely, proceeded positively and pursued his music direction with a resolute stance.
