The Good Wife Season 6 Episode 20 is one emotional roller coaster ride for Alicia as she decides whether to hold tight to the position she fought long to gain or to let it go before it consumes her entirely.
The Good Wife teasers show that Peter stays at her side as she goes through this one tough battle in her life and it looks like the two remains tight until the season ends. Moreover, aside from the fraud accusations she face, tension builds up at her law firm especially from Diane and Cary that started up since she decided to be elected as the State Attorney. Now that she is inclined to let go of her position, many wonders if it is the start of the three's reconciliation.
The Good Wife episode 20 is aptly entitled The Deconstruction which describes completely what Alicia Florrick goes through. Philosophically, the concept of "deconstruction" is derived from Jacques Derrida which highlights that a peaceful coexistence never exists rather man is present somewhere in a violent hierarchy. Alicia just happened to be somewhere in this cruel ladder and now, she makes the difficult decision of letting go for the majority of the Democratic Party or else she continues to be viciously shaken off it.
Juliana Magulies who plays Alicia Florrick discloses in an E! News interview that her resignation aims to save majority of the members of the Democratic Party. She further mentions that in this time of Alicia's life, she spends a lot of time reflecting on herself and acts more cautiously on how to proceed even if it is quite clear to her that her resignation is not negotiable.
"My guess is she's going to stay away from politics...I think she's so disgusted with the system," she says. "I think she'll find the good in it and she'll probably fight twice as hard. But I can guarantee you, it's going to cause conflict in the courtroom." Magulies adds.
The Good Wife Season 6 Episode 20 airs on April 26 on ABC.
