The K-pop royalty boy band EXO and SM Entertainment are back for equal amounts of success and controversies after the group's successful comeback this 2015. Tao's alleged plan to leave the group is creating several intertwined rumors about the group. On the lighter side, EXO's new single "Call Me Baby" from their album 'Exodus" is making it big in the Canadian Hot 100 charts.
SM Entertainment denied rumors of Tao leaving EXO. Tao on the other remains mum about the issue and stays in China to recover from an ankle injury. Tao officially became part of the EXO group after winning the top spot in an SM Entertainment Global Audition held for the EXO group back in 2010. The singer actor recently had an ankle injury during the filming of the MBC variety show '2015 Idol Star Athletics" while playing with GOT7's Jackson during a basketball game between the two.
Meanwhile, another SM Entertainment artist is on the hot seat, Kangin, for failing to attend the required reserve for training of the Korean Army. He was discharged from the army back in 2012 but was mandated to continue training for eight years. Unfortunately, due to his busy schedule, he failed to perform his military duties and is now under investigation by the police for failing to do so. SM Entertainment apologized for the incident. "Due to Kangin's schedules and personal issues, there was negligence. We will make sure this never happens again," according to SM Entertainment.
EXO's latest single "Call Me Baby" debuts on the 98th spot of the Billboard Canadian Hot 100. The track already managed to sell 200 copies and earned 230,000 streams in the territory during the first day of its release. EXO's album Exodus is also on the third spot on Worlds Albums this week and snagged the biggest sales week ever for a K-pop act sending the group and their new single to the top 95 spot of the Billboard 200.
SM Entertainment is hitting it big once more after this year's successful return of the EXO group. Tao is still believed to be part of the EXO band and will continue to enjoy the current success of the boy band not only in Korea and China but as well as in the USA.
