VH1's "That Metal Show" Season 14 Episode 8 which aired April 11 featured guests Slayer's Kerry King and Halestorm's Lzzy Hale, along with Zakk Wylde and his new line of audio equipment Wylde Audio.

Zakk Wylde is best known for his band Black Label Society, which he admittedly formed after jamming with Guns N Roses.

"We just had some ideas laying around and stuff like that, but nothing amounted to where Axl [Rose] sang on stuff and had lyrics written and everything like that," Zakk says in a Behind the Scenes interview of the show.

"We just had riffs lying around and stuff like that, but... It was great hanging out. 'Cause all the guys were there, you know what I mean?! It was Slash, Axl, Duff [McKagan, bass], Dizzy [Reed, keyboards], Matt [Sorum, drums]; it was all the guys. We were all jamming and stuff like that. It was a good time. It was at that point nothing was going on and I wasn't jamming with The Boss [Ozzy Osbourne]. Then I just had a batch of riffs and ideas laying around. I just said, 'I'll do it myself.' And that's when BLACK LABEL SOCIETY was born. And that's why I'm still living in a van down by the river. So I figured, maybe I wanna do this myself."

During a segment called "That Metal Gear", Zakk Wylde talks about how he started playing serious at age 14, practicing 10 hours a day, his love for Elton John, and how his mentors were a hearty influence to his love for playing. Wylde also talks about his new line of audio equipment Wylde Audio which is dedicated to making audio equipment for everybody, with people he's met over the course of his career. Wylde also confirmed he is working on "Book of Shadows Chapter II."

In other news, Zakk Wylde will be performing with musicians such as Yngwie Malmsteen and Michael Shenker in an upcoming cruise to the Bahamas in February of next year.

Wylde is an active media participant, giving guitar tutorials for aspiring musicians and imparting words of wisdom to his fans.
