Android 5.1 Lollipop has already arrived for HTC One M7 and therefore can now be installed on said device. It can also be updated now with TeamUB ROM Android custom builds via OTA.
This is after the custom version of TeamUB ROM has been made officially available for original HTC One handsets. Upgrading to this software version will fix performance and UI issues experienced on the device as well as device specific updates.
Bug fixes and updates that can be expected from TeamUB ROM Android builds include the following: fixed lock pattern grid, theme engine updates, device specific updates, UI updates, bug and performance fixes and GPS fixed on SMDK devices. Recent updates include possible fix for LG G3 d855 SIM detection problems, added StatusBar Ticker, added National Data Roaming, device specific updates, and UI fixes.
TeamUB features only the most useful from CyanogenMod sources to guarantee faster performance. One issue that is associated with the software version is the failure of some QS tiles to update correctly after changing the QS shade in color settings.
Motorola will also be updating its first-gen Moto X to Android 5.1 Lollipo. The software update has rolled out for Moto X 2014 and for the first-gen Moto X in Brazil. Worldwide rollout for these devices may happen in May.The Moto X 2013 has received the Android 5.0 Lollipop update in March.
Android 5.1 Lollipop release is also expected for Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge which ship with Android 5.0.2 out-of-the-box together with Samsung’s very own UI, TouchWiz. A new report said that the Korean company is already working on the software update. When the update will be released to these devices is yet to be announced. Samsung has already rolled out the Android 5.0 Lollipop for Galaxy S5 via all US carriers.
Others have also received similar updates such as Galaxy S4, Galaxy S5 Sport, Galaxy S5 Active, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Note 4, and Galaxy Alpha.
Android 5.1 Lollipop release update for Samsung’s latest duo smartphones include a protection feature that prevents use of the handset without signing in with the registered Google account, enhanced HD calling (with another 5.1 Lollipop device user), and improved quick setting screens.
