Microsoft released the latest Windows 10 for Phones technical preview for Lumia devices based on the build 10052. The latest build brings various bug fixes such as issues on the MMS settings, language virtual keyboards, and many more. A major build is also expected to roll out at the end of April.
Microsoft announced its newest update to its Windows 10 for Phones preview, Build 10052, last Tuesday. This build is considered to be a minor update that included various fixes on issues in the MMS settings, which was not featured in Build 9941, issues in added language virtual keyboards, and the viewfinder in the Camera Apps. Other features included let users to enable Flight Mode, and enable/disable data connections.
The Windows 10 for Phones preview also includes major apps, which is set to be available in its final version. The Microsoft Outlook, Maps, Project Spartan browser, and the apps in Office 2016 are expected to be included.
Mainly the Windows 10 for Phones Build 10052 is a bug fix update for the issues experienced by Lumia users in the Build 10051. Those who were affected with the previous Build can now continue the technical preview with the latest 10052.
Chief of Windows Insider Program at Microsoft Gabe Aul said, "There are no new features in this build, but it should be much more usable day to day with these improvements. The issue causing these failures was the way in which the Windows Phone Reset Tool was re-flashing these devices. We've released an update to the Windows Phone Reset Tool that should get those impacted by the issue up and running. With this issue resolved, we're resuming offering builds today for folks on Lumia 520 devices as well."
The Build is available for those who are in the "fast-ring" Windows Insider Program members. It requires a size between 512 MB and 4 GB of RAM for devices that have sizes also between 3 inches and 7.99 inches. The next major build for the Windows 10 for Phones technical preview will be at the end of April. AMD and CEO Lisa Su revealed that Windows 10 OS will be launched on July.
