'Elder Scrolls Online' Playstation 4 and Xbox One closed beta finally set to begin

By

With the long-awaited official release of the "Elder Scrolls Online" looming over the horizon, Bethesda has taken the final steps necessary prior to the event by offering the game in closed beta on the very same consoles.

Fans should be aware that the beta has already been termed by Bethesda by being "limited," but that's hardly enough to dissuade diehard fans from getting excited over the news. What may ultimately dampen the enthusiasm of most fans is the knowledge that only a few of them will get the chance to try the beta since it is invitation only. Hopeful players should check their inbox now to see if they got the invite. The invite will also provide the players with instructions on how to get started, according to Gamespot.

Bethesda has already informed their fans that not all who signed up for the beta will be receiving an invite so disappointment is more than likely heading towards a lot of people. The game developer has also not set any criteria for the people who have been chosen for the beta.

For the lucky few who do get the chance to experience the closed beta, they'll be glad to know it's the only one Bethesda plans to have prior to the game's official launch, according to IGN. Players who will participate in the closed beta for the "Elder Scrolls Online" should know that the characters they will be creating for it will be erased as soon as the game is fully ready for launch, according to Express UK.

If a particular player is qualified for the PC to Playstation 4 transfer of their characters, then they will not be starting from scratch come launch day, but anything other than that means it's starting from Level 1. The "Elder Scrolls Online" will be available on both the Playstation 4 and Xbox One starting June 9.
