The Young and the Restless spoilers for the remaining days of the week showcase what a Kelly Andrews can become. From the time Kelly arrives at Genoa City, a lot of what she is remains mysterious and puzzling except for her undeniable affection for Jack Newman. This week on the hit daytime series, Kelly's dive to madness provides glimpse of why she is the person she is now.
As a brief background, Kelly arrived in Genoa in grief for the death of her son. She became attached to Billy whom she had a one-night stand with after the two comfort each other's loss. Billy who is married to Victoria at the time of her arrival shut her down and left her alone all by herself again. Her attachment to Billy caused the collapse of his marriage with Victoria and led everyone in town to label her as a home wrecker. Billy her previous fling, until she met her recent obsession, Jack Abbott.
Jack and Kelly grew closer while dealing gravely for the comatosed Phyllis. Although it is not sure if Jack, at one point loves Phyllis, the fling is probably his ideal of coping up with loneliness. However, Kelly got so attached to Jack on the verge of obsession that when he asked her to plan his wedding, she is devastated to the core. There was a time when Kelly accused Phyllis of poisoning her and sacrifices herself to make the claim all the more real.
Kelly's descent to insanity is increasing and everyone in Genoa is not foreign to her "condition", especially not Victor Newman. Victor uses Kelly on her plans against Jack and starts by giving her hopes that the man of his dreams can be his if she cooperates and helps him every step of the way. Seeing how the people she trusts toys her, it is not hard to imagine why Kelly ends up mad and insane and more interestingly, spoilers reveal that she gets more savage in the days to follow particularly as she deals with Jack's attempt to escape. How will Jack face up with an insane and obsessed captor?
