Avengers: Age of Ultron is on a box-office rampage overseas but it is still a week before it hits the U.S. What more better way for its promotion to be a little more revealing, than Paul Bettany who plays Vision share his own origins.
In a promotional interview with The One Show, the actor discussed the birth of the purple android superhero and his first confrontation with the Avengers as video clips were shared to the audience.
"The flipside of that bad guy, Ultron, is Vision. They're sort of two sides of the same coin, really. There is a link between JARVIS, who I used to play and still play in this movie, and the Vision, but I'm not allowed to say what it is," Bettany enlightened the viewers.
Bettany who did the voice over for J.A.R.V.I.S., Iron Man's computerized butler in the three Iron Man movies and 2012's The Avengers, will finally have his big screen debut in full regale instead of just being a voice that Iron Man that directs with. The 43-year-old also added that it "was fun playing someone who was supremely powerful and omnipotent and yet totally naive and experiencing the world as it comes and wondering if he's going to be a force for good or evil".
The character of the Vision was kept in secret save for an appearance in an out-of-focus promotional poster and a recent trailer which featured him at the end. It wasn't until Vision was featured in a cover spread along with Black Widow and the Hulk that fans had a full glimpse of appearance.
In related news, a character from Avengers: Age of Ultron will also be gracing another MCU movie. The Scarlett Witch, who is being portrayed by actress Elisabeth Olsen has confirmed that she will be appearing in the Russo Brother's Captain America: Civil War.
