Fear and horror will welcome trespassers in the upcoming movie, "Area 51." An official trailer of the long-shelved film has been released and will be available in Alamo Drafthouse theaters this May in a limited release. The movie will also be released on VOD and several digital platforms.
The official trailer of "Area 51" features Reid Warmer, Jamel King, Ben Rovner and Jelena Nik. Reid's obsession with aliens and their alleged activities on Earth will bring him and his friends in a daring attempt to break into "Area 51" during their weekend trip to Las Vegas. The dare turned out to be a wrong move for the group as they discover horrific and terrifying proof of alien existence. Things will go wrong inside "Area 51" which will lead the group into a series of unfortunate events inside the terrifying and mysterious place.
The movie will debut on May 11 and will run until May 17 on several Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas. It will debut online on May 15. The film will be featured in VOD and several digital platforms online. The movie has been rumored for release six years ago but due to undisclosed reasons, it's official release was just announced this year.
The movie is created by Oren Peli, the brain-child of the successful "Paranormal Activity" movies. With that in mind, suspense and nerve-wracking horror is also expected from the "Area 51" movie. The official trailer came with an official synopsis for the movie.
