‘Star Wars: Rouge One’ Cast, Plot Update: Felicity Jones drops role? A unified Star Wars universe underway?

The movie "Star Wars: Rouge One" may not feature Felicity Jones in the upcoming film. Did the actress drop from the role? On the other hand, Star Wars might be extending their universe to merge and collaborate with the other Star Wars franchises in the very near future.

Felicity Jones dropped everything to accommodate her upcoming role in the movie "Star Wars: Rogue One." The actress was officially announced as the star of the upcoming Star Wars anthology that will be released in 2016. The plot of the "Star Wars: Rouge One" movie was also discussed during a panel interview at the Star Wars Celebration Fan Festival last Sunday in Anaheim, California.

The English actress is known for her roles in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" and the movie "The Theory of Everything." Her role was rumored to be a jedi but was later announced to be as a soldier in the upcoming "Star Wars: Rouge One" film.

The plot of the movie will take place during a time between "Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith" and "Episode 4: A New Hope." Felicity Jones will be a rebel soldier on a rouge mission to steal plans for the Death Star. The movie scheduled for a 2016 release will start shooting this coming summer.

Meanwhile, joined cinematic universe seems to a trend nowadays and the "Star Wars: Rouge One" franchise is most likely considering it as well. In the recently concluded Star Wars Celebration 2015, a continued expansion of the "Star Wars" universe was teased by the production and crew of the movie. No further details about the cinematic universe expansion were revealed the next day. The "Star Wars: Battlefront" for PS4 was the topic of the conference on the second day. "Star Wars Rebels", the Disney XD animated series second season was the topic for the third day.

The "Star Wars: Rouge One" movie welcomes Felicity Jones as one of its lead stars and will most likely collaborate with several other "Star Wars" movie franchises in the very near future.

"Star Wars: Rouge One" is scheduled to hit cinemas on December 16, 2016.
