‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Movie Update: Oscar Isaac Talks About Recruiting His Four Horsemen; Casting Agents Looking For Extras in Montreal

One thing about the "X-Men" series is that it never loses powerful villains and as the debut nears, actor Oscar Isaac dishes some details about his role as Apocalypse in the upcoming Bryan Singer film. Isaac is also dropping some clues on the assembling of his Four Horsemen, or "Horsemen of Apocalypse" from the comic books, his four servants.

To apprise, En Sabah Nur also known as Apocalypse may be the most formidable mutant in the comic book's history. He has a great deal of abilities including the molecule manipulation of his body, in which he uses for armor and weapons, the ability to heal himself, and faculties to control people with their vulnerabilities.

Meanwhile, the actor/singer told IGN about the staffing of his four servants. "Without giving anything away, the recruitment of the Four Horsemen is very cool," Isaac said. "It's very interesting the way that he does that. You know the idea of - the way that cult leaders do - they find people that are in need of something and try to fulfill that thing in them - as it relates to every one of the Horsemen," the Guatemalan-born actor said.

In the comic books, these "Horsemen of Apocalypse" are mutants that have been genetically altered and brainwashed to serve Apocalypse. They were also given vast knowledge and advanced technology to transform into avatars of War, Famine, Pestilence and Death.

Isaac, who is also joining "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" as Poe Dameron, was asked if he was excited about playing a character with multiple versions. He admitted that he has been a fan of the "X-Men" franchise as a kid. "So to be able to sit with [writer/producer] Simon Kinberg and - as a fan - just go through it and be like, 'Well what about this!?! You know, this is something that he does in the comics and is there a way to incorporate this? Or if he has this power suddenly how do we make that not come out of nowhere?' So it's really fun to map that thing out," he divulged. "But yes, the nature of how his powers manifest themselves is, to a certain extent, quite open to interpretation. Because there are so many, and they are so vast."

Isaac is starring alongside Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Michael Fassbender as the young Magneto, James McAvoy as Professor X, Olivia Munn as Psylocke, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, and among others. The film was written by Simon Kinberg and will be directed by Bryan Singer.

Meanwhile, the casting agents of the film are currently looking for fit, athletic males with shaved heads or males willing to shave their heads to use as extras. The agents also specified that all ages and ethnicities are welcome to audition but black males are preferred.

The movie's working title is "Akkaba," the name of a cult in the Marvel universe and is scheduled to officially film this summer in Montreal at La Cité du Cinéma. It is slated for a May 27, 2016 release date.

What are your expectations for Oscar Isaac's role? Will he be a good fit to play Apocalypse? Will you be watching the movie next year? Your thoughts are always welcome on the discussion section underneath!
