Despite lacking a definite release date, Square Enix, the developer of Final Fantasy 15, already released a demo for the game. It did not take long before feedback and impressions crowded the internet. While some were amazed and excited for the official release, a few were skeptical.
Graphics and responsiveness were not an issue in the demo but rather its new approach. Moreover, the game is slowly becoming a hack and slash style of gameplay. This might be because the original director, Tetsuya Nomura, is not anymore affiliated with Final Fantasy 15. Nevertheless, it is not all that bad, people are just hoping that it will not end up as a mindless button smashing game.
In the meantime, the demo that was released featured amusing content including enemies ranging from goblins, soldiers, and hyena-looking enemies. The environment is also diverse allowing different possibilities for strategic purposes. Though, the game definitely needs some ironing out especially that enemies were too frequent and powerful. Still, it is just the demo and developers just wanted to impart a taste of the game's graphic performance and stability through action packed situations.
Despite the change of the director, some player-favorite contents and capabilities are still present including teleport slash and materializing weapons. Most likely, a lot more have been kept since it is already a long running game and developers want to maintain the aspects that made it one of the leading games in the market.
Square Enix is currently working with a lot of projects that they seemingly decided to have their own E3 press conference. Taking place on Tuesday, June 16, it will showcase a series of already-announced upcoming titles like Kingdom Hearts 3 and Just Cause 3 while taking most of the spotlight will be Final Fantasy 15. Other than gameplay, people are hoping for a definite release date to be announced during the event.
