Metal Gear Online Features Update: 16 players allowed for Metal Gear Solid 5 gameplay

By

Following Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots in 2008 will be Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. It will be released on the last quarter of 2015, specifically on September 1 for consoles and September 15 for the PC platform. As of the moment, a lot of things are already being anticipated from the game, the most hyped is the upcoming Metal Gear Online feature that was unraveled in 2014 which included a gameplay peak.

Moreover, the feature will allow up to a total of 16 players to compete with each other. This was after the announcement that there will be a 1v1 mode that could be increased up to 8v8. Though, this is only applicable for PS4, Xbox One, and PC platforms.

For last-gen consoles including the PS3 and Xbox 360, however, the maximum player capacity is only 12. Nevertheless, it is still a 6v6 gameplay which will most likely ensue a chaotic and fun environment. In terms of contents, the feature will have the same on all platforms.

In general, the online feature is a team-based multiplayer game resulting to a series of player capabilities and game perks. This includes the ability to use toy dogs as distractions materials as well as have access to a series of traps like the fulton trap. In addition, despite being useless, taking selfies will be an available capability.

There is still much to know about the game's online feature including the possible series of weapons and playable skins. Although, it is likely that story mode guns will be present in Metal Gear Online. Luckily, players do not need to wait any longer for the feature and have a feel of what it has to offer since it will come along with Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain's release rather than being a downloadable content in the future.
