Limited edition 'Halo 5' inspired Xbox One is coming soon to fans of the franchise

Fans may finally be getting what they have long been waiting for in the form of a new "Halo 5: Guardians" themed Xbox One.

The news came directly from the head of the studio behind the game, Josh Holmes. He said there is indeed a limited edition console being made in honor of the impending title being released. He even terms the console as being "pretty sweet," according to Game Informer.

As of now, fans only have the words of Holmes to go on when it comes to hope about the new console design. Microsoft has not made any official announcement thus far on whether there is a custom console coming in the near future. The last major title from the franchise, "Halo 4," received a custom console modeled after it when it was released.

Aside from providing some information regarding the console plans of Microsoft, Holmes also commented on whether there would be another "Halo 5" beta coming, saying there is currently no plan in place to make another one available. His comments could just mean that no plans for a "Halo 5" beta are in the works at the moment, but that could change given time, according to Gaming Bolt.

In related news, a new trailer has also come out for "Halo 5," this time featuring none other than Spartan Locke as he tracks down Master Chief, according to IGN. Fans will also see the Hunter-Class armor set in the trailer, and if they also want to get their hands on the new equipment, it appears as though they will have to pre-order the game from Gamestop.

New weapons and new abilities are also on display in the trailer, but fans will have to wait for the game to be officially released before they find out if those too are going to be parts of the game.

"Halo 5" will be released on October 27, 2015.
