"The Flash" wil be helmed by "Lego Movie" and "22 Jump Street" directors who will join forces to make upcoming DC character movie. So who are the men behind these successful flicks mentioned? People behind these films are the writer-director team Phil Lord and Chris Miller.
Going back to "Flash" film, Deadline reported that Warner Bros. hired people to write a story for "Flash." The writer-director duo of "Lego Movie" is the choice of Warner to work on DC character.
CW has its TV series "The Flash." According to IGN, the TV series and the upcoming movie of this DC character is different or separate from the CW's TV series.
Although, there's a confirmation that Phil Lord and Chris Miller will work on the behind the scenes, however, Warner didn't mention if they will direct or write screenplay.
The duo's flicks "Jump Street" (sequels) garnered $534 million at the box office. While "The Lego Movie" got $468 million based on Forbes' report.
Speaking of "Lego' films, Warner Bros announced the release dates of next upcoming "Lego" flicks. Batman Lego movie (which is untitled) is slated on Feb. 10, 2017.
Lego spinoff "Ninjago" was originally set for 2016 but it was announced that it will fall on Sept. 22, 2017, and "The Lego Movie Sequel" is set for May 18, 2018.
Dan Fellman, president of domestic distribution at Warner Bros was the one who confirmed the release dates of the upcoming flicks. Variety stated Fellman's statement.
"We are very excited about dating our upcoming Lego animated features, which already have a worldwide fan following, built on the foundation of the first film," Fellman said.
"These three films already in the pipeline are just the beginning of a creative and diverse animation slate that will be delighting audiences for years to come," he added.
In related news about the "LEGO" director-writer duo, IGN reported that they will also producing "Spider-Man" film. This news was came out from CinemaCon.
Last year, when Sony was hacked and the email conversation of the executives leaked, people learned that the Spider-Man animated movie is in the works. One of the conversations mentioned that the Spider-Man movie "is being produced by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller." Added to that, the duo will take charge of writing the story treatment.
