"Tekken 7" gets a new character massive character aptly named Gigas. The latest addition to the roster of character was announced in the last Niconico Chokaigi 2015 event. The Tekken team also announced a free smartphone game app, "Galaga Tekken," which will take back players to the 80s arcade era.

Gigas has massive character and packs powerful punch. He wears a gas mask, red armor suit and a menacing look as he makes his debut in Japanese arcades. The character was formally introduced last weekend in the Niconico Chokaigi 2015 event. The announcement also included an update on "Galaga Tekken," the free smartphone application that was initially thought to be just an April Fools' Day hoax.

"Tekken 7" is the ninth installment of the fighting game series and will be released in PS4 using the Unreal Engine 4. The game was initially announced to be under development during the 2014 Evolution Championship Series by Namco. Last Sunday, Namco Chief Producer Katsuhiro Harada introduced Giga, the latest addition to roster of gaming characters for the video game series. He described Gigas as an "unknown gargantuan with considerable strength." The character will be included in Japanese arcade games starting on April 28, 2015.

The much awaited "Galaga Tekken" is also introduced and announced for release as a free application for iOS and Android devices this coming April 30, 2015, Thursday. The gaming application was initially announced earlier this April and was considered as an April Fools' Day joke. Fortunately, the reveal was actually true and will be enjoyed by 'Tekken 7" fans right under their fingertips.

Josie Rizal was the latest addition to the "Tekken 7" gaming characters before Gigas release. Jin and Devil Jin also returned to the gaming series earlier this month. Gigas on the other hand is one of the mysterious characters added to the video game making him a point of interest at present. His nationality was not revealed and it seems to be that the Tekken website intentionally provided scarce details about Gigas.

Fans of the gaming series are looking forward for several more characters to be included in the upcoming release of the video game on PS4. Twenty-four characters, hopefully including Gigas are already slated to be included in the Play Station 4 release of "Tekken 7."

Meanwhile, Gigas is already available for gameplay and can be enjoyed in Japanese arcade games starting today. A mobile smartphone capable "Tekken 7" inspired game, "Galaga Tekken" will be available for download on April 30, 2015.
