Konami decided to release the P.T. demo for Silent Hill sans Konami's name attached to it in the series, unless certain conditions were met, it is possibly a brilliant one.
At the end that Hideo Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro, the P.T. demo and the revelation would be creating a new Silent Hill game together instantaneously thrilled the fans of the survival horror genre. Fans have been anxious about the future of Silent Hills after Kojima's statement that he and Konami were weaning from each other. This concern may have been a result of a recent update to the authorized P.T. Silent Hills website.
The fans were alarmed when Konami abruptly posted an announcement on the official Silent Hill site to the effect that on April 29, the free playable teaser would be taken out from the Playstation Store. As for their decision to pull the demo out, Konami stops from giving away any further details; so it is still not known if the game will be playable for enthusiasts who have added the game to their Playstation Network accounts but haven't actually downloaded the game.
It's disheartening that the promising games get caught in the rift, and whatever transpired between Kojima and Konami to cause this misunderstanding is unclear, Right at the outset, Konami has admittedly said that the P.T. Silent Hill demo may not have seemed like the final product at all - it was just a concept.
It was also the first time after sometime that Silent Hill fans were really excited about the serial addition, and it would be very dispiriting if it's cancelled or greatly modified for merely personal reasons. Now that the Silent Hill demo is canceled in Playstation store, what are your thoughts about this? Please let us know by leaving your comments below.
