A Mortal Kombat X DLC is coming soon. This one will allow players to use Jason Voorhees, who happens to be Freddy Krueger's arch nemesis.
With the type of battle they would forge against one another, this DLC has been deemed the 'Horror Pack' as well as 'MASKMURDER' pack. It will also come with new costume designs and skins for the three scary characters in MKX. These are none other than Ermac, Mileena, and Reptile, as mentioned by GameRant.
What Jason actually does, however, is still a question as NetherRealm has not made any leaks yet. Players will simply have to hold their horses for when Mortal Kombat X becomes available.
According to IGN, those who bought the Kombat Pack DLC collection worth $30 will be the first ones to use Voorhees on the game. Other players will only be able to use him a week after, so that will be on May 12.
A Story Pack DLC will also be on its way, according to Ed Boon, who is MKX's developer. This will feature characters such as Baraka, Rain, and Sindel. Unfortunately, they will not be playable as they are only part of the story mode.
More playable characters are set to arrive, though, every two weeks once Jason Voorhees arrives. There will be a 'HUNTERPREY' pack which will include Predator, whereas two 'Klassic' packs will include Tremor and Tanya. Just like with the 'MASKMURDER' pack, these will come with many character skins as well.
One thing that gamers will be happy to know is that Ed Boon confirmed that players will be able to try out their hand with the DLC characters before having to pay for them. This will prevent players from making a blind decision and feeling as though what they got was not their money's worth.
A lot of Mortal Kombat X DLC packs are set to arrive. These will make the game go beyond its horizons once it is released on May 5 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
