Girls' Generation makes a comeback with new album this May amid successive dating confirmations

Asia's number one girl group and Global Superstar Girls' Generation is rumored to return to the K-pop scene on May 2015 after a series of dating scandals last year which were all confirmed by SM Entertainment, leaving the fans in shock and utter disappointment.

The last of which being 25-year- old member Kwon Yuri caught by Dispatch out on a date with a 32-year-old Hanshin Tigers baseball pitcher named Oh Seung Hwan on March 4 in Japan.

Yuri becomes the fifth member to be confirmed as dating by agency SM Entertainment after Kim Taeyeon who is dating EXO's Byun Baekhyun, Im Yoona and actor Lee Seunggi, Tiffany Hwang and 2PM's Nichkhun, Choi Sooyoung and actor Jung Kyung-ho.

All members are in age between 25 and 26. But with Korea's entertainment culture, celebrities dating are considered a scandal on the side of most fans.

Girls' Generation has sold over four million hits recently released their Japanese single entitled "Catch Me if You Can" on April 22. This is the first time the girls will make a comeback as an eight-member group after Jessica Jung has been ousted from the group in September 2014.

Meanwhile, it has been previously reported that group leader Taeyeon, also dubbed as OST Ballad Queen by Korean listeners, will be the first member to release solo album with works being completed on the first half of the year.

However, it seems that SM Entertainment has changed plans as Girls' Generation will first release as a group a Korean comeback next month before any of its members does.

The most anticipated comeback leaves fans - termed SONES - apprehensive as this would be the group's first release in their home country as an eight-member group after two years.

While some fans are still down from all the dating scandals, SONES vocally expressed their excitement and support for the upcoming album on various social media.

Meanwhile, Girls' Generation has recently been in Japan for their fan meeting in celebration for the success of their Japanese single.
