The recently released trailer for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege from Ubisoft features "Strike First, Strike Hard" motto of the British Counter terrorist Unit in action working their way on to an aircraft and engaged in a close gunfight.
Released on Thursday last week, this is first in a series of trailers which will focus on elite special forces units from different countries and the first to appear is the British SAS but with a different name. The team's name is called The Regiment and the short video shows the members of the team and their names.
The short video shows the members of the team and their names wearing gas mask carrying their weapons, entering into a hijacked airplane, breaking doors, and engaged in simultaneous gunfights using sub-machineguns and shotguns.
Rainbow Six fans who have watched the trailer and could not wait to get their hands on the game will need to wait a little more time for its official release date. Tom Morgan of Expert Reviews describes why.
"So far, Ubisoft has only committed to a vague 2015 release window for Seige. With development still in the early stages, and the company heavily tweaking the AnvilNext game engine for first person gameplay and heavy destruction, we aren't expecting it to arrive early next year either.
Speculations of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege release along with Tom Clancy's The Division and Assassin's Creed: Victory, where both titles are also from Ubisoft appeared online but it will unlikely happen.
"If it does arrive on schedule, it will likely be timed to avoid other major releases; the publisher is concentrating a lot of its resources on The Division, which appeals to a similar demographic, so expect a gap of at least a few months between both games," Morgan added.
Despite of this, the good news is that Microsoft Store is offering ten dollar discount for those who order the game early for the Xbox One. Checkout Microsoft Store's website for more details on the promo.
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege is developed for PS4, Xbox One, and PC slated to release this year.
