Prometheus 2 is on the rails recently as it has been gaining some noteworthy updates along with the usual speculations.
The first part of the sci-fi film was shown last 2012 with a lot of success. This puts Ridley Scott on a tough spot in making sure that the sequel will be even better.
The release date of the film has already been confirmed, which will be on March 4, 2016 according to an article from Master Herald. While fans ought to mark this in their calendars, it can be quite problematic in terms of competition in the filming industry because the said date is three weeks earlier than the "Batman vs. Superman Dawn of Justice" screening.
The latter was deemed to be the first grand blockbuster for 2016; so Prometheus 2 will have to be as worthwhile as it can be to falsify that statement.
Another major announcement about the film is that the script has already been finished, which will pave the way for shooting the actual scenes. Meanwhile, the movie hat set up a website to provide current happenings which will keep fans abreast.
It would be interesting to note that Xenomorphs will no longer be featured in the upcoming film; but rather two of its variants, both of which will be more terrifying.
Many reports, as pointed out from articles from Crossmap and Day Herald, say that the setting will be none other than planet Earth, hence the rumoured title, "Prometheus 2: Hell on Earth." Scriptwriters Art Marcum and Matthew Holloway were quoted by Fox when they said that the movie will entail how aliens managed to arrive on Earth.
As for the cast, there has been some hearsay that Noomi Rapace, who plays Elizabeth Shaw will no longer be in the third instalment as her character will face death in the second part. However, more recent updates say otherwise, and that the third film will have "Paradise" in its subtitle.
Prometheus 2 is still a year away, so that gives more than enough time to prepare for what the film can bring to the table. By the looks of the current details, though, this movie is bound to impress.
