Bobby Brown, Bobbi Kristina's father, recently filed papers for guardianship of the remaining $20 million estate. The late Whitney Houston left it for her daughter, the 22-year-old Bobbi Kristina, after she died. However, Cissy Houston is bent on fighting Bobby "to the grave." Still, according to sources, Bobby only wants to give the best for her daughter.
Upon knowing Bobby's plan, Bobbi Kristina's grandmother Cissy Houston was reportedly "seething" and that she "will fight this to the grave." It was said that the Houston family were expecting Bobby to try and take their granddaughter's inheritance. They were not surprised about Bobby's move.
A family source reportedly said, "Since day one, all of the Houstons have been waiting for Bobby to try and get Bobbi Kristina's money and they knew it was just a matter of time. No one is surprised that he is making a grab for her money."
Cissy Houston, together with Bobbi Kristina's Uncle Gary Houston and Aunt Pat Houston, are entitled as the "executors of the $20 million trust." If Bobbi Kristina dies, Cissy, Gary, and Pat would inherit her entire estate.
The grandmother's lawyer recently gave a statement after Bobby's announcement, "This is a family matter involving sensitive information. We hope to resolve this in a manner that is respectful of Bobbi Kristina's sensitive health information. The Houston family has always looked out for the best interest of Bobbi Kristina Brown. The family has done so all of her life and will continue to do so. We trust that others have the same objective."
Others also suspect that Bobby is after the money. However, a source reportedly said that this is not true, and that he only wants the best for his daughter. The father is also said to have understood Bobbi Kristina may live in that condition "for a lifetime."
According to a recent report, Bobby Brown only wants what's best for his daughter. He has a money of his own and he doesn't want to take her mone.y What he really want is the best care possible for Bobbi Kristina Brown.
It is quite difficult to know the motives of the two families as each have their own reasons. It was previously reported that both the Brown and Houston family were arguing whether to put Bobbi Kristina in life support or not.
