ABC Ends Revenge After 4 Seasons: Cliffhanger in finale, Emily Thorne dies? The Kingmakers spin-off for series?

By

It is true that ABC Ends Revenge after 4 seasons, so as early as now, fans should be preparing themselves. This could be through understanding why the show is getting cancelled, or looking for spoilers on the series finale, or even by finding out what worthwhile series one could watch when this is gone.

Entertainment Weekly provided a thorough discussion about the curtain call for Emily Thorne's character. With only two episodes left, the finale "Two Graves" will air on Sunday, May 10.

Sunil Nayar, who is the executive producer, ascertains this news by saying, "We can officially tell our fans that this will be the end of the story... Everyone understands that as much as we all adore the show, it has hit exactly the mark it needed to end."

The debut of the series was on 2011 where it made a grand entrance, gaining a 3.3 rating from adults 18-49 with 10 million viewers. It put itself on ABC's map effortlessly, where it showed on Wednesday nights. Later on, though, when Revenge was transferred to Sundays, ratings plummeted to 1.0 for 18-49 aged adults with 4.45 million people tuning in.

One thing that fans are very curious about at this point would be how the finale would turn out. Nayar tells in an interview that there will be a bit of a cliff-hanger, although closure is still intact, and says, "I really feel like the last couple chapters are worthy of the first many."

There are also speculations that the loose end will be a plausible connection for Sallie Patrick's The Kingmakers. However, there is little news word if the Revenge writer's upcoming ABC pilot will really serve as a spin-off.

Nayar makes the thought linger, though, by describing the pilot with the words, "It's got the blood and passion of Revenge hardwired into what the show is, but at the moment, it is not a spinoff... but never say never." More updates are needed if some of the cast from Revenge will end up acting in The Kingmakers.

With a couple more episodes to go, ABC ends Revenge after 4 seasons. Fans should rest assured that this was the intended way to go, and that these last few glimpses of the show will be a worthwhile closure for the entirety of the story.
