Former "Fashion Police" co-host Kelly Osbourne might not be the one to be "mortified" as she responds to the matter of her family's erstwhile reality TV show "The Osbournes" being axed by VH1. Osbourne took to Twitter her response the same day after the network announced that they've abandoned plans to reboot the MTV hit reality show. She has been subtle about her reaction, however.
In November last year, Sharon Osbourne, 62, the matriarch of the family, had announced in her CBS shared-show "The Talk" about the news of a revival. The said reboot would reunite the clan in six to eight new episodes and will center on catching up on the current lives of each member: Ozzy, Sharon, Jack, and Kelly.
But it looks like that's not going to happen after all as The Hollywood Reporter told that VH1′s Executive Vice President of Original Programming and Production Susan Levison already confirmed the inevitable and that they are no longer in contact to the family. "We wish we could have worked it out, but it just didn't come together for us. The family has been absolutely lovely and we wish them the best," Levison said. Nevertheless, she is optimist about the future of the preempted hit reality show. "But We'd love to figure out a way to work with them at some point in the future," she finished.
As unfortunate as it must be, Kelly Osbourne has been all-smiles regarding the matter as she responds in her Twitter account. "As much as u love #VH1 the last time I checked I never signed up to doing a show w/ them! #Weird," Kelly wrote.
Inopportunely, the patriarch, Jack Osbourne, might be the root why the network plunked down the reality show as The Hollywood Reporter claims he had some legal issues and that he was involved between the production company in arrears of the series and Schweet Entertainment. However, according to some reports, Jack's legal issues are not known to be the matter that made VH1 to shy away from the intended revival.
With this not being able to push to air, Ozzy Osbourne will not have the chance to detail his newly sober lifestyle. Refreshingly, he was famously inebriated for the show's entire run from 2002-2005. This also made Kelly to have more liberty in her schedule as she recently left E!'s "Fashion Police" after the death of co-host Joan Rivers. Likewise, Kelly was reported to have a feud with fellow host Giuliana Rancic that caused to kick herself out of the E!'s show.
And because of that, are you saddened not to have a glimpse of the famous MTV reality show again? Do you think Kelly will be going back to "Fashion Police" considering she has no current gig? Share us your views today on the discussion section!
