The wait for the release for "Half Life 3" has long been overdue but fans of the gaming series are still very helpful that the game is under development and will be released to gamers, eventually. On the contrary, Valve Corporation's attention seems to be elsewhere as increasing inquiries about the "Half Life 2" abandoned chapter continues to build up.
The release of "Half Life 3" remains to be confirmed and yet another "Half Life" franchise is under controversies at present. Warren Spector, game designer of "Half Life 2" continues to fail in providing details on an abandoned chapter in the "Half Life 2" PC game. In a recent interview, Spector revealed the game feature as the "Magnet Gun," capable of filling the gaps in the "Half Life 2" game series.
"We came up with so many cool ways to use a magnet gun that were completely different from anything [Valve] had done and was really freeform in its use," Spector explained. Unfortunately, the "Magnet Gun" remains to be "under development."
The "Half Life" franchise is indeed a remarkable example of rags to riches video game. The first two released were a hit and is continuously being enjoyed by gamers all over the world. But the last version of the "Half Life" series was back in 2007 and a "Half Life 3" release or update has been very scarce even with the continuous efforts of gamers and the media to get a concrete answer from Valve Corporation. "Duke Nuken Forever" and "Final Fantasy Versus XIII" pushed through despite of the waiting, is this the same faith for "Half Life 3" as well?
Some fans are hopeful that the upcoming E3 2015 is the venue where Valve Corporation will release possible clues or even a formal announcement on the release and development of "Half Life 3." The venue is also a perfect place to announce a potential 2015 release for the PC game considering that the development of the game is still believed to be ongoing as of the moment. A video retailing company from Sweden allegedly included the "Half Life 3" PC game in their product release listing last month paving the way for more speculations of a 2015 release from Valve Corporation.
Whether Valve will concentrate with the upgrades on "Half Life 2" or will remain focused with "Half Life 3" remains to bewilder fans of the gaming series.
