Finally, the Amazonian warrior princess will get her own movie. With a working title "Wonder Woman," the filming of the movie will start in the fall of 2015. The official release date will be on June 23, 2017, as announced by DC Comics and Warner Brothers.
Portraying the role of "Wonder Woman" will be Gal Gadot, an Israeli actress and model who has been part of the last three "Fast and Furious" movies. She will first make an appearance in the upcoming "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice". The said movie will be released on March 25, 2016, starring Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, and Henry Cavill as Superman.
Jason Fuchs who wrote for the movie "Pan" will also write for "Wonder Woman." However, Michelle Maclaren, who was supposed to direct the movie already quit. "Given creative differences, Warner Bros and Michelle MacLaren have decided not to move forward with plans to develop and direct Wonder Woman together," Warner Bros said in a statement.
Meanwhile, trending now on the internet is the release of the Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice movie promo art, where Wonder Woman is wearing a blue and gold cape. Michael Wilkinson, the costume designer for the Batman vs. Superman movie was asked about the official design of Wonder Woman's costume stated in an interview:
"It's a thrilling and slightly scary prospect of course. It's so important to get her right. She really deserves to be presented onscreen in her full glory, so what I do is look at the history of the character has been presented on the big screen, small screen, comic books, and graphic novels; we process it all. We try to create a Wonder Woman relevant for today's audiences."
