Xbox One Star Wars concept controller models revealed in celebration of day commemorating the popular sci-fi franchise

Microsoft did not let Star Wars Day go by without giving their fans and the fans of the franchise a little something to be excited about in the form of new concept controllers.

Understandably, concept controllers are hardly anything to get too excited about, and considering that some, if not all, of these models being teased may not ever be released, the hype almost seems unwarranted, according to Gamespot. At least it feels that way, and then people get a look at them, and the excitement builds again.

Microsoft revealed four different concept models, each with a specific character from the franchise being used as the main inspiration for its design, according to Game Rant. The four characters are C-3PO, Chewbacca, Boba Fett, and a Stormtrooper.

Microsoft has not ruled out the possibility that at least one, if not all, of the concept controllers could be made available in the future, but they have yet to confirm that they will do so either, so fans will just have to wait and see how this one will play out. If there is indeed a chance any of these concept controllers could come out, the perfect opportunity for Microsoft to do exactly that would be right around the time they release Star Wars: Battlefront.

Speaking of the game, fans are getting good news in the form of Star Wars: Battlefront not being completely reliant on Internet connectivity to be played. The title is expected to completely support offline play at least from the side of the developer, according to Gaming Bolt.

If there are problems related to people not being able to play the game because of Internet connectivity problems, the issue at that point would be related to the console being used and not the game itself.

Star Wars: Battlefront will be released on November 17, 2015.
