The spin-off series "Fear the Walking Dead" will touch a plot "ripped from headlines" and will most likely deal with the human's spirit on coping with the idea of the dead eating the living. The much awaited series inspired by the events in the much-acclaimed "The Walking Dead" is set to premiere this coming July.
The "Fear the Walking Dead" will go for a plot away from where all the zombies came from. It will be based on true stories, about families, drug addiction, teen problems, all happening during the outbreak of the dead eating the living. This is what viewers can expect from the "Fear the Walking Dead" spin-off this coming July.
The "Fear the Walking Dead" is set in an earlier time frame than that of the "Walking Dead" series. During the start of the apocalyptic outbreak, the characters in the series are not stuck with "samurai-slashing chicks" and "Korean immigrants" they happen to meet on their way to survival. They are most likely with their families during the zombie outbreak. It will have a different set of actors and will relive the feeling of a zombie outbreak during a time of conflict within the family. The "Walking Dead" series is a family-drama of sort. This will go the same as with the "Fear the Walking Dead" spin-off series.
The zombies were also put into consideration in the upcoming series. They will be different from the decaying zombies of the "Walking Dead" franchise. Familiar faces of friends and families will make it even harder for the cast of the series to cope with the unlikely outbreak.
Executive Producer Greg Nicotero revealed, "You know, Fear the Walking Dead happens almost before [The Walking Dead] show even premiered. One thing that we play up on the show is the environment and how that plays on the walkers...In Georgia, it's very humid and sunny, so we take that into consideration. In Los Angeles, it's a lot more dry, so we've had conversation about what that would do to the look of the walkers."
The "Fear the Walking Dead" is set to premiere in July on AMC and through Hulu's online streaming service. The online streaming service has acquired exclusive subscription video on demand rights of the "Fear the Walking Dead" series as well as upcoming primetime series from AMC, IFC, BCC America, SundanceTV and WE TV.
The zombie hiatus will finally be over as the "Fear the Walking Dead" returns on July. Close to real life events with a twist of the undead going after the living is something we can all look forward to this summer.
