Madden NFL 16 Cover Star: EA Sports reveals winner on May 13 during ESPN’s SportsCenter; Gronkowski most likely to win?

By

The Madden NFL 16 Cover Star is once again open for voting as EA Sports revealed the top 4 contenders. The game producer has involved fans in forming some aspects of the game since 2010.

While the voting reached a moment of having 32 choices put into brackets and leading into a rigorous process, this version takes on a simpler approach. This is so fans will get the results earlier as opposed to growing impatient and losing interest when the campaign exceeds a month already.

The report from SportingNews gives a proper background on the different players.

First would be Rob Gronkowski, a tight end for the New England Patriots. His overall rating when he finished Madden NFL was 98. Next would be Antonio Brown, who is Pittsburgh Steelers' wide receiver with an overall rating of 97.

Jumping 7 points below in the overall rating would be Odell Beckham Jr., also a WR, but plays for the New York Giants. Last but not least is the cornerback from Arizona Cardinals, Patrick Peterson, who rated 88 overall.

Among these players, odds are looking good for Gronkowski, as noted by GameRant. He played a huge part in helping his team win the Super Bowl last February. He also might have gotten the vote of a few other gamers when he made an appearance on Conan, where he played Mortal Kombat X against Seattle Seahawks' Marshawn Lynch.

The initial round of voting has begun on May 4 and will end on May 11 at 3am. The resulting two finalists will be revealed the following day. May 13, 6pm will be the date and time for announcing the winner on ESPN's SportsCenter as explained by IGN.

Voting will be opened once a day to mobile players when they complete Live Events. On the other hand, those playing NFL 15 will be able to vote through the Ultimate Team Mode.

Gamers should do well to support their Madden NFL 16 Cover Star of choice because their vote definitely counts. The game itself will be released on August 25. In terms of the gameplay, a lot more needs to be known; hence players should hope to hear juicy details come E3 2015.
