"Modern Family" is just two episodes away from its sixth season's finale and their next episode titled, "Crying Out Loud" will see the Dunphys persuade their genius Alex to skip a day in school while Gloria tries to sabotage Manny's relationship with his new girlfriend.
Alex (Ariel Winter) had just battled her way to the top of her class in the last episode, "Patriot Games" but that did not stop Phil (Ty Burrell), Haley (Sarah Hyland), and Luke (Nolan Gould) to make her skip a day in her senior year in next week's episode titled, "Crying Out Loud."
The Dunphys, minus Claire, pursued their plan by forcefully taking Alex out but end up at an unexpected detour. Claire (Julie Bowen) on the other hand has to make a huge career decision when a prestigious hotel offers her a job. She becomes even more confused as she can't figure out if Jay cares enough about her dilemma.
In the Pritchett abode, Gloria (Sofia Vergara) takes advantage of a groggy Manny, who just had his wisdom teeth removed, by coming up with a plan to sabotage her son and his girlfriend's relationship.
Meanwhile, "Modern Family" fans are wondering if Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and Cam (Eric Stonestreet) will finally arrive to a decision whether to have another child or not. Throughout the sixth season, the idea of the couple having a new child teases the viewers. In their "Integrity" episode, the two brought up the idea again while looking after Joe. The way the couple looked at Lily and Joe later in the episode hints the possibility that Lily will get a sibling soon.
Alex faced her worst nightmare in "Patriot Games" when she learned that she shares the Valedictorian title with Sunjay. They battled for the top spot by a one mile run supported by both of their parents. Despite this Phil, Haley, and Luke will make her ditch a day in school in next week episode of "Modern Family" titled, "Crying Out Loud," which airs May 13 on ABC.
